Our Story

A small kitchen with a long line.

Moon's Kitchen lives inside Hmong Village, the warehouse-sized marketplace at 1001 Johnson Parkway that has been the heart of Saint Paul's Hmong community for years.

Walk through hundreds of stalls — fabrics, herbs, fresh produce, music — follow the rising steam past the food court tables, and you'll find a small counter glowing with warm light. That's us.

The recipes here are family ones, the kind passed down without measurements. Lemongrass pounded fresh. Broths started before sunrise. Sticky rice steamed in bamboo. We cook the way our mothers taught us, because there's no better way.

We're proud to be a small piece of a much bigger story — one of immigration, resilience, and the quiet, daily act of feeding people well.

"Food is how we remember home, and how we make a new one."
